Rita was born on March 20, 1937 and passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018.

Rita was a resident of South Burlington, Vermont at the time of passing.

After graduating from Burlington High School, Rita worked for the Bell Telephone Company until she started raising her family of four children.

Visitation hours will be Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 4 PM - 7 PM at LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St., Winooski, VT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 11 AM at Holy Family Parish, 36 Lincoln St., Essex Junction, VT. Interment to follow Mass at New Mount Calvary Cemetery, Plattsburgh Avenue, Burlington, VT.

I feel so badly that I missed the obituary in the Free Press. I was just looking for a classmate's obit and saw Rita's. We grew up together on Winooski Avenue. I have so many wonderful memories!

My condolences to the family. I fondly remember all the fun times with Rita whenever she came to Maine or when i visited Burlington. i especially remember her pie she would make whenever i visited.. She will be missed. Rest in peace.
