Arlene M. Griffin, of Essex Junction passed away on July 4, 2017 at the age of 90 Arlene was born in Burlington on May 15, 1927 the daughter of the late Romeo and Eva (Chartier) Roberge. She attended Catholic schools and later worked in the restaurant business where she enjoyed working with the public. In 1946 she was married to George F. Griffin, Sr. and became a "household executive." She touched many lives with her kindness. Arlene and George raised six children. George Griffin Jr. and his wife Sandra of Burlington. Rose D'Avanzo and husband Phil of South Carolina, Mae LeClair of Essex Jct., Patrick Griffin and his wife Deanna of North Carolina; numerous grandchildren , many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; adopted grandson Sherman. She was predeceased by two sons Alan and David and her husband George. Upon retirement Arlene enjoyed going to Florida in the winters with George and most importantly spending time with her family. She also enjoyed baking and sewing. There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at Resurrection Park Cemetery, South Burlington. Arrangements are in the care of Ready Funeral home and Cremation services Mountain View Chapel, 68 Pinecrest Dr. Essex Jct.
