Cindy Ann Warfield-Sowalskie of Burlington passed away unexpectedly on March 2, 2017. Born in Fargo ND on March 30, 1957 to Irvin and Eunice Warfield she was the youngest of 4 children. She grew up in the mid-west and later studied art at the University of Wisconsin. Ever the beauty, Cindy was discovered by the Eileen Ford Modeling Agency in NYC and began an international modeling career that would take her to Chicago, NYC, Paris, London, and Milan. She later lived in NYC before moving to Burlington in 1990. After working in fashion at the Nan Patrick store, she began a career as a real estate agent with Nancy Jenkins and later with Brad and Dave Chenette. Cindy was an amazing woman with the ability to make everybody she came in contact with feel truly special. She wore her compassion on her sleeves. She is survived by her husband, Glenn Sowalskie, her sisters Karen Tweeton (Mike) and Deborah Labonte (Ed), her brother Irvin Warfield (Lois), her nieces Missy Delzer and Kristin Turnblom and nephews Mark and Paul Tweeton, all of Minnesota. There will be calling hours on Friday March 10, 2017 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Ready Funeral Home and Cremation Services South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd. Burlington, VT. On Saturday March 11, 2017 there will be a time of remembrance and celebration of her life at St. John's Club, 9 Central Ave., Burlington from 12:00 until 4:00 PM. Please bring your favorite plate or hot dish to share with her friends. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Burlington chapter of the American Cancer Society .
