KAREN ABAIR, 48, of Holy Cross Road in Colchester died on March 5th 2018 in the comfort of her own home following a long illness. She was born on December 26th 1969 in Burlington, the daughter of Nelson Abair & Linda Siple. She was a graduate of Essex High school, class of 1988. On September 5th 1990 she gave birth to her daughter, of whom she loved with her entire being. In 1996 she graduated with an associate's degree from CCV in Early Childhood Education. She worked for a total of 19 years as a dedicated employee of IBM, eventually making the switch to Globalfoundries. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, and spending time with her beloved family, especially her nieces and nephews, emphasizing on being an amazing grandmother to her only grandchild. She is survived by her partner of 14 years Bradley Allen. Her daughter Tinika Lau, & grandson Kaiden Reilly. Her mother and step father Linda & Kim Siple. Her sister and brother in law Melinda & Brian Fuller, their children Nyokalynn, Alexander, & Kirsten Fuller. Her brother Jeffery Abair, and his daughter Emma-Jean Abair. She will also be dearly missed by her extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her father Nelson Abair and her grandmother Pauline Shortsleeves. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 10th 2018 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the Ready Funeral Home South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd, Burlington, VT with a services to follow at 4:00pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the spring.
