Marjorie Hebert Cross, 97 of Burlington VT passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 7th following a short illness. Marjorie was born on October 19, 1920 in Burlington VT the daughter of Albert A. Hebert and Bessie C. Bean. Marjorie was married in Colchester VT to Clayton E. Cross on June 4, 1946. Majories many hobbies include gardening, canning, baking, spending time with family. She was retired from the Chittenden Bank she also filled her time working in the kitchen at North Avenue Alliance Christian School. After retiring Majorie filled her time taking care of her great grandchildren, swimming, church choir, and she enjoyed making quilts and donating to those in need. Marjorie is survived by daughter Carol A. Blair and husband Raymond of Burlington, and sons Edward C. Cross and wife Lyn of Texas, and Timothy R. Cross and wife Carol of Colchester. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren Scott and Tina Blair of Burlington, Robert and Lisa Coache of Barre, Renee and Jeremy Roque of Alburg, Amy and Anthony Nichols of Cambridge, and Christopher Cross of Colchester. Her brother Kenneth Hebert and wife Christine of Burlington, sister June Devrend of Myrtel Beach So. Carolina. 14 great grandchildren Nichole, Meghan, Jessica, Mark, Adam, Clayton, Johnathan, Alex, Brian, Connor, Kyle, Jasmine, and Kirsty, along with 9 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends. Marjorie was predeceased by her father Albert A Hebert in 1943 and her mother Bessie in 1974, her husband Clayton E. Cross March 1979, her brothers Albert D. Hebert, Hector and Leonard, her sister Charlotte, and daughter Susan Bisson. There are no Calling Hours. A Celebration of her life will be held April 21, 2018 at 11:00am at North Avenue Alliance Church, with burial to follow at New Mount Calvary Cemetery.
