Marjorie June Elmore, 91, a longtime resident of Burlington, passed away June 23, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Highly skilled as a bookkeeper, she also utilized her talents as a community volunteer. June was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Burlington for nearly 50 years. For 25 of those years, she worked tirelessly for the church's Thrift Store. As a gifted seamstress, she made beautiful clothes for family members and period clothing for the Ethan Allen Homestead. She was known for her generous, vibrant spirit and for her sensitivity to the needs of others. Survivors include her sons: Gene Elmore, Cecil Elmore, his wife Jackie, and Walter Elmore. Her daughters are: Rhonda Simays, Patrice Brotherton, her husband, Matthew, Michele Elmore, and Maureen Cerreta, her husband Joseph. Her 80 descendants include 25 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and 48 great grandchildren. A service dedicated to the memory of June will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 21 Buell Street, Burlington 05401, on Friday, June 30th at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Thrift Store. Please make checks payable to New England Conference-UMW. Church office phone number 802-862-1151.
