MaryRose Blanche Kern, said goodbye to this world peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. She will meet her Lord and join husband Joseph Kern of 49 years who passed away on July 10, 2003. MaryRose was born to Joseph and Rose (Boucher) Lariviere on October 6, 1935. She was employed by IBM for 20 years and retired in 1997. Before retiring completely, she worked for three years part time at FAHC. MaryRose lived for her family and loved spending time with them, especially fishing on Lake Champlain competing for the biggest bass of the season against other family members, or fishing with her son in his boat catching record sized walleye and salmon and even a steelhead trout. Her love for fishing went back to her childhood, and was something that she and her husband did often and they shared that love of fishing and the outdoors with their children. MaryRose leaves five children and their families: her son Joseph and his daughter, Danielle; her daughters: Vanessa Santor and her children Raymond and wife Corinn, Jason, and wife Sarah and Jina and husband Nate Couture; Sandra and husband Richard Colbourne and their daughters Jessica and husband George Deane and Allison and husband Kypros Panteli; Mary Hill and her children Corbin and Jordan; Diana and husband Chris Eide and their children Christopher and fiancé Miriam and Stephanie and husband Robert Reinecke. MaryRose also leaves one sister and her spouse: Irene & William Miller; sisters-in-law Betty Dombeck and Mary Jane Lariviere; several nieces and nephews and 5 great-grandchildren. Besiddes being predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 2003, MaryRose was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Rose Lariviere, one brother Joseph Lariviere, sister Jeannine Brown and mother-in-law Rosa Kern and her brother-in-law Ed Dombeck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 13 at 11:00 am in St. Francis Xavier's Roman Catholic Church, Winooski with interment to follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery, South Burlington. As per her request, there will be no visiting hours. Ready Funeral & Cremation Services, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd, Burlington is in charge of arrangements. Donations in MaryRose's memory may be sent to the Vermont Lung Association , 30 Farrell St., So. Burlington, VT 05403.
