It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond E Couillard, 93 years of age. He was born to Violet and Edmund Couillard in Williamstown, VT. After serving in the Pacific in WWII, he returned home to marry Jane Anne Craige in 1949. They moved to Burlington, VT where he worked at General Electric for over 40 years. Jane passed away in October of 2010. Raymond was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and neighbor. He was also a member of the First Congregational Church and was a Mason and a Shriner Raymond was a man who loved and served others above himself, proud of his family, kind and generous to all. He will be sorely missed after a long and joyous life, he is at peace with God. Family and friends are invited to an hour of visitation on Saturday March 11, 2017 starting at 10:00 AM with a Funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Ready Funeral Home and Cremation Services South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd. Burlington, VT Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Burlington with military honors.
