Raymond J. Esposito, 95 of So. Burlington passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Starr Farm Nursing Center. He was born in Jersey City, NJ on November 11, 1921 the son of the late Raymond and Anna Esposito. Ray was a World War II veteran having served with the US Army from 1942-1946. After being discharged from the Army, Ray worked for the family fruit and vegetable business in New York City where he met Margaret "Marge" Vitucci, the love of his life. He and Marge were married in 1948 and welcomed son Richard in 1952. He worked as a bus driver for the NY City Transit Authority for 30 years. In 1994 Ray and Marge moved from Massapequa, Long Island to So. Burlington, VT to be near their son. Ray and his beloved son worked spring through fall on the many flower gardens and the beautiful lawn that Ray took so much pride in. Ray is survived by his son Richard "Richie" Esposito of Burlington, and Richie's girlfriend Dona Loso of So. Hero; his nieces Rhonda, Ann, Theresa and Vita; and his nephews Richard, Buster, Victor, Louis, Jr., and James. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret Esposito in 2000; his brothers Vincent and Thomas, and his sister Camille. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 11, from 2pm to 5pm at the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd., Burlington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 13, at 11:00am at St. John Vianney Church, 160 Hinesburg Rd. So. Burlington with burial to follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery.
