Robert (Pete) Gadhue died on March 11, 2017 at the University of Vermont Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Colchester, VT on November 15, 1924 the son of the late Harry and Agnes Puerschnar Gadhue. Pete graduated from Cathedral High School in 1942. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army in Europe. On May 31, 1948, he married Evelina Miller in Christ the King Church in Burlington. In 1988 he retired from the business he owned, Pete Gadhue's Office Equipment. After his retirement, he enjoyed many winter months playing golf in Fort Myers, Florida. Pete is survived by his wife Evelina, his five children and their spouses, Linda (Michael) Renzulli of Bedford, NH, Donna (Harold) Black of Essex, Jct., VT, Debra (Perry) Allen of Novi, MI, Diane (Norm) Ouimette of Manchester, NH, John (Jessica) Gadhue of Cambridge, VT. His brother in law Walter Barron of Shelburne, VT. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several nieces of nephews. He was predeceased by his infant son Bobby in 1952 as well as his two brothers Harry and Jack Gadhue and his sister Patricia Barron. A funeral mass for Pete will be celebrated on Thursday, March 16 at 12:00pm at Christ the King Church in Burlington. Burial will be at a later time in Resurrection Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider a donation in Pete's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , PO Box 1818, Memphis, TN 38101.
